By the end of 2012, JJ X-Ray initiated the development of the FXE Beamline (“Femtosecond X-ray Experiments”). The project was developed in close cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark and the European XFEL. This instrumentation aims to provide time-resolved investigations of solids, liquids, and gases. The FXE Beamline is one out of six beamlines for the fastest x-ray instrumentation in the world – the European X-ray Free Electron Laser (European XFEL). The instrumentation facility was inaugurated 1 September 2017 and is now open for the first users.

JJ X-Ray has delivered the complete turnkey FXE beamline, including all the components illustrated below on schedule.
