Positioning Systems

JJ X-Ray offers an extensive selection of positioning systems, designed for exact motion and endurance with a focus on scientific and industrial sectors. Achieving groundbreaking results hinges on precise control, and our systems deliver reliable, repeatable motions for a variety of applications. From fine adjustments needed in X-ray diffraction to intricate manipulations within neutron scattering instruments, discover a system that matches your specific needs or contact us to discuss your needs.

Explore these focused subcategories to find the ideal equipment for your work:

  • Linear Motions: Stages designed for controlled, accurate translational movement along single or multiple axes. Suited for applications requiring precise straight-line positioning.
  • Arc Motions: Specialized for controlled movement along a curved path. Facilitates adjustments and scans in arc-shaped trajectories.
  • Rotations: Rotary stages providing exceptional angular positioning with high repeatability and accuracy for applications requiring precise angular control, like sample orientation or detector positioning.
  • Sample Positioning: Compact systems combining multiple translations and rotations, optimized for accurate sample alignment and manipulation in experiments such as X-ray diffraction and neutron scattering, designed for minimal interference and maximum stability.
  • Detector Positioning: Tools designed for stable and accurate positioning of detectors, providing precise control over placement for optimized data acquisition.
  • Heavy load stages: highly accurate systems that can lift high loads with the purpose of stabile positoning. They are desinged for minimal vibration and sagging and are often used for application such as cryostat, detector or sample positioning.
  • Air bearing stages: Combining smooth motions with exteremly stabile positioning as the quipment rests on stacked granite when in it’s final position, thereby maximally profitting from the vibration dampening properties of granite.

As the success of the experiments often rely on the quality of our equipment, all our stages undergo extensive Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). During these tests, the accuracy and repeatability of positioning as well as the stability are extensively tested with a range of equipment.
