This 29 kg heavy slit system was originally  built for a neutron facility where a non-magnetic solution with customized encoders and borated aluminum blades were needed (see picture). The non-magnetic option consists of non-magnetic internal rails and carriages as well as extensions of the motor housing. Like other JJ X-Ray slits systems, it contains 2 phase stepping motors.
